Hoxha: Russian aggression will not weaken Europe’s resolve, security and unity

TIRANA, September 2 /ATA/ Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha reacted today to the recent attacks in Kyiv and the Russian drone at the Leipzig/Halle airport (Germany), emphasizing that they will not weaken Europe’s resolve.

“Russia has once again demonstrated that its war against Ukraine does not stop at the battlefield. Its massive attacks on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, including the direct strike on the National University of Food Technologies while classes were underway, are part of a brutal campaign that continues to put civilians at risk”, stressed Hoxha, in a post on social networks.

Minister Hoxha stated further on that, “Europe, and Albania as part of it, was right from day one to stand with Ukraine, and we must continue to do so. Ukraine remains the frontline of this war. But it is increasingly clear that Russia’s reach and ambitious extend far beyond Ukraine. The confirmed Russian drone incident in Leipzig is another stark reminder that Moscow is testing the limits of European security and expanding its interference and destabilizing activities across the continent.”

“Intimidation, aggression and hybrid interference will not weaken Europe’s resolve. They must have the opposite effect: a stronger, more united and more determined Europe. Ukraine is defending its land. Europe is defending its security. We must stand together on both fronts,” said Hoxha. /k.s/r.e/p.s./
