TIRANA, Oct 4 /ATA/ The bad weather, accompanied by unusually intense rainfall in some areas of the country, has caused various problems.
Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, announced on Friday that in Vlorë, the situation worsened due to heavy inflows, causing partial failures at the pumping stations.
Under these conditions, the National Agency for Civil Protection and the Armed Forces, following a call for assistance from local authorities, provided support with 2 motor boats, 2 teams equipped with 2 water pumps, 8 high mobility vehicles, and 30 military personnel.
Furthermore, to assist the community near the Municipality of Vlorë, the National Agency for Civil Protection is coordinating and organizing operational structures at both local and central levels, with 6 personnel and 2 vehicles deployed from the Southern Infantry Division of the Armed Forces.
The Ministry of Defence is closely the situation.
