TIRANA, Oct.18/ATA/ The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Lindita Nikolla received today in a meeting the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz.
In her remarks, Nikolla praised the excellent fraternal cooperation between the two countries and expressed confidence that both Assemblies and Albania-Kosovo Governments will further advance bilateral cooperation.
Bilateral cooperation between Albania and Kosovo is as much important as strategic, a stabilizer and key point in terms of Euro-Atlantic perspective of the Western Balkans. We should make the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Kosovo a model and encouraging trend towards regional cooperation.
An intensive cooperation has already kicked off between our two Assemblies, which supports and encourages the cooperation between the two governments, driven by the results and in aid of our citizens. The Roundtable of Committee heads has been institutionalized and a Memorandum of Cooperation has been prepared. Albania and our parliamentary diplomacy will be on the side of Kosovo, to face common challenges. Kosovo’s challenges are also Albania’s challenges,” Nikolla said.
“Kosovo welcomes Albania’s support and is grateful for the great help it has provided, especially in the international plan, as well as for the cooperation between the institutions and agencies of the two countries,” Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz said. //a.i/
