TIRANA, Oct 1 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama voiced Tuesday his readiness “to dialogue with opposition on the electoral reform any time and at any place, even at the Democratic Party headquarters.”
Rama told a TV interview he fears no mediation, yet the government and the opposition should work together and agree on the key electoral reform.
“I fear no mediation of whatsoever, but I think we don’t need a translator as we can understand each other in Albanian. This country can no longer function at whims of somebody, but it should function just like any other normal country,” Socialist leader said.
“I am ready to sit in table of talks at any moment. I would like to talk and dialogue about the electoral reform as time flues, but if they don’t feel the pressure of time, it is their right to do so. I have no reason to pressure them and keep calling on them to join the electoral reform effort. I would be here at any moment they wish,” Rama said.
