TIRANA, May 20 /ATA/ – Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi met on Wednesday with the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Ambassador Jan Braathu, who is visiting Tirana.
During the meeting, Peleshi and Braathu said that media freedom, freedom of expression, the right to information, transparency and protection against disinformation remain fundamental pillars of a democratic society and key priorities in Albania’s European Union accession process.
“The OSCE is an important and highly valued partner of the Albanian Parliament,” Peleshi said in a social media post.
