TIRANA, April 27 /ATA/ Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Agron Gjekmarkaj received today at the Presidency of the Assembly the Italian MP Giulio Cesare Sottanelli, member of the Italian Parliament, representative of the “Azione” party.
Gjekmarkaj thanked Italy for its continuous, reliable partnership over the years and for serving as a key ally in Albania’s EU integration journey, with particular appreciation for support from the Italian government and parliament.
The meeting highlighted the vital role of the Albanian diaspora—both historical and contemporary—in strengthening friendly relations between our nations.
“This contribution remains a key link bolstering our cultural, social, and economic cooperation”, it was emphasized at the meeting.
