TIRANA, April 24/ATA/ Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA) CEO Adela Xhemali held a meeting today with senior representatives of the European Investment Bank (EIB).
EIB experts led by Alessandro de Concini met with AFSA to drive the development of the national green taxonomy, key to bolstering sustainable finance and aligning with EU green recovery standards.
Xhemali expressed appreciation for the EIB’s continued assistance in developing the national green taxonomy. She emphasized that this vital project, steered by the Authority, is instrumental to aligning with EU requirements for Chapter 9, ‘Financial Services’.
During the meeting there was also highlighted the Authority’s EU alignment priority and there were explored opportunities to strengthen partnership with the European Investment Bank.
In this context, AFSA recognizes EIB as an essential partner, accelerating the green transition and EU integration through crucial financing and technical expertise. /j.p/p.s./
