TIRANA, April 5 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama on Sunday extended Easter greetings to Catholic believers, marking the holiday with a video created using artificial intelligence.
Catholic believers in Albania and around the world are celebrating Easter, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, one of the most significant events in the Christian calendar.
According to Christian belief, the resurrection occurred three days after Christ’s crucifixion and death.
Beyond its religious significance, Easter is widely seen as a call for spiritual renewal and a more humane approach to life, symbolising the possibility of new beginnings even after the most difficult challenges.
The holiday is preceded by a 40-day period of fasting and preparation known as Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Palm Sunday.
During this period, believers commemorate Christ’s time in the desert devoted to prayer and fasting.
