TIRANA, March 30/ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu stated today that Albania has entered the phase of closing the 33 EU accession chapters by 2027.
Referring to today’s meeting on the progress of negotiations with the European Union chaired by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Koçiu said that the discussions highlighted Albania’s unprecedented, rapid advancement in the EU negotiation process.
“We reconfirmed our vision “Albania 2030, part of the European family”, stated the Deputy Prime Minister, emphasizing that the country has now entered a new phase after the positive evaluation of the European Commission for the results achieved in record time.
“We have entered the most challenging and decisive phase, that of closing the 33 negotiation chapters within 2027”, noted Koçiu.
“Thanks to a proactive approach and concrete steps, we are confirming that Albania is now a reliable partner and prepared to take its deserved place in the great European family”, said Koçiu.
Having systematically opened all negotiation clusters—at a rate of one every two to three months—Albania must now maintain this momentum to conclude negotiations by 2027./k.s/j.p/p.s./
