TIRANA, March 17 /ATA/ Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro inspected from very close the construction works for building the track-and-field facility at the University of Sports of Tirana, an investment that is being carried out with the support of the Albanian government and the Ministry of Education.
Accompanied by President of the Albanian National Olympic Committee Fidel Ylli and Rector of the University of Sports Agron Kasa, Minister Kumbaro said that the infrastructure project includes the football field and the athletics track suitable for all disciplines.
“This will be carried out according to the best standards because it is a very important investment,” she added.
Appreciating it a necessary investment, Kumbaro emphasized that the project aims to set a new standard in the university sports infrastructure, which directly serves to improve the conditions of study, as well as to increase the performance of professional athletes and the sports community in general.
On the other hand, Ylli said that, “The laboratories are among the best in Europe and we bring elite athletes to test them”.
According to plan, these investments are expected to be completed in May of the current year. /e.i/j.p/p.s./
