PRISHTINA, February 2/ATA/ Kosovo’s judo team has had a very successful performance at the international competition “European Open”, returning from Sofia with three bronze medals and some great results, in a tournament where the competition for medals was greater than ever.
In this competition, Kosovar athletes won three bronze medals through Erza Muminović in the category up to 48 kilograms, Fatjona Kasapi in 52 kilograms and Flaka Loxha in 57 kilograms. In addition to the medals, Laurina Gashi (52 kg), Dardan Cena (73 kg) and Shpati Zekaj (100 kg) were ranked in the fifth place, while Enise Zijade (57 kg) finished in the seventh place.
Although without a medal, Sidorela and Anesi recorded important victories during the competition, proving their potential for the future.
The participation in Sofia is considered a very good test and ideal warm-up for the next challenge, the Paris Grand Slam, which will take place next week, where Kosovar judokas are expected to aim for other great results in the international arena. /KosovaPress//r.e/p.s./
