PRISHTINA, December 29 /ATA/ Self-determination Movement leader Albin Kurti has reacted a day after the general elections in Kosovo, where his party emerged the first in this process.
Acting PM Kurti stressed that Kosovo’s future is within EU’s orbit, reported KosovaPress.
On the X platform, Kurti thanked all those who exercised their right to vote, as well as all those who contributed to ensuring that the electoral process was free, fair and without incidents.
“Yesterday, the people of Kosovo gave us yet another clear mandate. It is always an honor to earn the trust of the people, especially when this comes after serving the first full term in the country’s history. We would like to thank all those who exercised their right to vote, as well as all those who contributed to ensuring that the electoral process was free, fair and conducted without incident. We are grateful for the international support throughout this process, from the European Union, individual countries and international organizations, which continue to support Kosovo’s democratic progress. A special thanks goes to our sister parties and the broader progressive movement, as we are committed to build a society where the dignity and the well-being of the people are at the center. The future of Kosovo is prosperous and strongly oriented towards the European Union,” Kurti wrote.
After processing of the preliminary results on the CEC platform, the Self-determination Movement has won 49.30% of the votes. /KosovaPress/p.s./
