TIRANA, July 16 /ATA/The Transmission System Operator (OST) published the key energy system indicators for June.
According to the report, national electricity production totalled 394,972 MWh, with hydropower remaining the primary source.
Hydropower plants accounted for the majority of production, with 57,419 MWh generated by diversion HPPs and 261,133 MWh by reservoir-based HPPs.
Production from thermal power plants (TPPs) was relatively low, amounting to 4,926 MWh, while production from photovoltaic (PV) panels reached 71,494 MWh, reflecting the increasingly important role of solar energy in the energy mix.
Meanwhile, the total electricity load on Albania’s energy system in June 2025 reached 597.6 GWh, reflecting a rise of 1.3 GWh compared to June of the previous year, when it was recorded at 596.3 GWh. /j.p/sm/
