TIRANA, March 12 /ATA/ – The Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights has adopted a series of amendments to the National Youth Law proposed by the State Minister for Youth and Children, Bora Muzhaqi.

The amendments are designed to align national legislation with the European regulations, providing a clear framework on youth policies and providing fresh opportunities for personal and professional development of young people.

The proposed legislation envisages financial support for young people involved in internship program at the public administration.

“The training will include work ethics in administration, budget management, soft skills, the use of digital platforms and the preparation of official materials,” Minister Muzhaqi said as she unveiled the proposed changes at the Parliamentary Committee hearing.

She underlined that the program was designed to ease integration and access of young people to the labour market, regardless of whether they choose to pursue a career in the public or private sector.

The draft law also provides financial support for talented young people who represent Albania in international competitions, covering all their expenses for participation.

The State Minister Muzhaqi described the legislation as a key step towards strengthening youth policies and their alignment them with European standards.
