TIRANA, February 19/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that the spring bonus for the pensioners will begin being distributed from March 1st while the government has approved the relevant decision since January 9th.
The prime minister made the statement today in reaction to some fake news spread according to which, “There is no bonus for the pensioners”.
“I do not lie and I speak with full responsibility regarding the duty that the people have entrusted me. But, some others have accusation as their vision, the slander as their program and the lie as their driving force, everywhere, anytime and for everything. Therefore, they spread the fake news that there is no bonus for the pensioners”, wrote Rama in a post in the social media.
The prime minister reacted in this way to the fake news spread during the recent days about the bonus of the pensioners appreciating that, “They are touching a raw nerve”.
“Let the pensioners enjoy the bonus and may God see those who touch the raw nerve of pensioners”, he emphasized.
On January 9th, the government approved the spring bonus for 730,430 pensioners.
Of these, 520,443 pensioners who receive less than 20,000 lekë per month will benefit a bonus of 10,000 lekë, while 209,987 pensioners who receive a pension higher than 20,000 lekë per month will get 5,000 lekë bonus.
The financial effects resulting from implementation of this decision are estimated at approximately 6.3 billion lekë. /r.e/a.f/p.s./
