TIRANA, Jan 29 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said that there is a growing demand from Albanian businesses for employees with technological expertise, and the salary offers are notably high.
In his speech at an event at the Harry Fultz Institute, now affiliated with the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), one of the top universities in the U.S., Rama said, “We are living in a time where a comprehensive ecosystem is being built to foster the study of technology and generate well-paying job opportunities through technological knowledge.”
“The good news is that today we are seeing a shift in the dynamic between the state and businesses, as well as between education and entrepreneurship. Until recently, it was a constant and not very successful effort to persuade entrepreneurs to invest in human resources. However, now companies are increasingly eager to partner with these institutions. I am confident that at Harry Fultz, they have already felt this growing interest and are starting to make employment agreements with their future employees while they are still in school,” said Rama.
The Prime Minister highlighted, “There is a significant demand from Albanian businesses for employees with technological expertise, and the salary offers are exceptionally high.”
“Harry Fultz, when he left Albania, left behind a note of affection for the Albanians, wishing them all the best and expressing just one concern, saying, ‘The only problem Albanians have is that they produce more history than they can digest.’ And this is a problem I believe we all agree we have, and even more so in this period of history, we have entered an era of intensive history production that does far more harm than good to ourselves, to our country, and to our social perspective,” said Rama.
The Prime Minister, however, stressed, “In the end, what truly matters and lasts is what is sown and harvested through hard work and consistent effort.”
