TIRANA, Nov 19 /ATA/ – A three-day simulation-based training on combating human trafficking started on Tuesday in Tirana.
This second simulation hosted by the OSCE Presence in Tirana builds on the success of Albania’s initial exercise in 2021, a pioneering endeavor supported by the OSCE’s Office of the Special Representative and Coordinator for Combating Human Trafficking in Vienna.
During the three-day training around 40 anti-trafficking practitioners will engage in real-time simulated scenarios to identify and investigate human trafficking and assist trafficked persons in a victim-centred and human rights-based manner.
The targeted training participants are social workers, police officers, prosecutors and civil society organizations.
The training is delivered as part of the OSCE Presence project “Advancement of the anti-trafficking training capacities of the School of Magistrates and Security Academy”, funded by the United States, Italy and Norway.
