TIRANA, October 9/ATA/ The local residents of Dimal will be saved from flooding of the lands every time the Osum river overflows its bed due to heavy rainfall.
The construction of the protective embankment on both sides of the Osum River, an investment by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, helps the residents of Dimal in Berat, avoiding floods.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media photos of the new embankment which guarantees a protective barrier for agricultural lands, as well.
Rama wrote that thanks to this investment there is avoided flooding in hundreds of hectares of agricultural land in the surrounding villages, through which the residents of these areas keep their family economy afloat.
The embankment on both sides of the Osum River is considered an important investment for the residents of this agricultural area who used to be affected by the annual flooding of lands and damage to agricultural products. /m.m/p.s./
