TIRANA, Oct 29 /ATA/ – Albania has expressed solidarity with Italy and the EUFOR community following a military helicopter crash near Brcko in Bosnia and Herzegovina that killed three people and injured 12.

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha on Thursday offered condolences to the victims’ families and expressed sympathy for the Italian government and people.

“Deeply saddened by the tragic incident near Brcko, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, involving a EUFOR helicopter, which claimed three lives and left 12 people injured. We extend our sincere condolences to the victims’ families, as well as to the government and people of Italy. Our thoughts are also with all those injured, whom we wish a swift and full recovery,” Hoxha said in his message.

Foreign Minister said Albania stood firmly alongside Italy, a friendly country and NATO ally, and the wider EUFOR community.

Albanian personnel serve alongside Italian colleagues and other military personnel in the EU-led force, working together to maintain peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hoxha added.
