TIRANA, Oct 4 /ATA/ -By Maela Marini/ The chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Bledi Çuçi, said on Wednesday that “the ruling majority and opposition will work on a joint draft for the resolution on Kosovo.”
At a media statement after the meeting of the Conference of Whips, Çuçi informed that a special session will be held on October 12, which will discuss the attack in Kosovo.
In the meantime, he also responded to the journalists on the request of the Democratic Party MP, Kreshnik Çollaku, for a Q&A session with the Prime Minister.
“We have not dropped the request for interpellation, but we have combined both the requests for resolution and interpellation in one. We combined the requests in a single session, as the regulation allows, because all the issues are related to the events in the north of Kosovo. It is a procedural action that the Assembly undertakes in compliance with the regulation and it is a matter of parliamentary practice”, said Çuçi.
Focusing on the opposition’s proposals for the People’s Advocate, Çuçi said that this issue is not within the remit of Basha or Bardhi.
“The People’s Advocate is an issue on which we have already made our position clear. He is chosen from the proposals that must come from the opposition. But the person who will be proposed by the opposition at the helm of the People’s Advocate institution must meet the professional and human integrity criteria beforehand”, he said.
According to Çuçi, the proposal does not fall within the remit of Basha or Bardhi, it is up to the opposition as a whole.
