TIRANA, October 3 /ATA/ The Conference of Chairpersons decided today that on October 12, the Assembly will hold a special session on the attack that took place on September 24 in the north of Kosovo, during which police officer Afrim Bunjaku was assassinated by Serbian armed groups.
The session is planned to last 5 hours. The parliamentary group of the ruling Socialist Party has proposed a draft resolution that considers the attack in the north of Kosovo a terrorist act and demands from Serbia to give up its hostile and warmongering attitudes and actions against the Republic of Kosovo, to open a serious and transparent investigation against all organizations and perpetrators of terrorist military operations against the Republic of Kosovo and to hand over the criminals.
Also, the Lawmaker of the Democratic Party in opposition Gazment Bardhi has proposed another resolution, where it is emphasized that the Assembly of Albania should share the stance of the Assembly of Kosovo, by adopting a similar resolution and unifying the position between the two states.
The Conference of Chairpersons has not yet reached a consensus on whether it will come to the plenary session with a single draft resolution. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party led by Lulzim Basha requested an interpellation with PM Rama for his statements that KFOR must take control of the north of Kosovo./p.s./
