Glover: Situation is calm so far, our report to be presented on Monday

TIRANA, May  14 /ATA/- The head of the OSCE-ODIHR observer mission, Audrey Glover, stated on Sunday that so far the election process is running smoothly.

In a media briefing, Glover said that we should wait until the elections close before coming to a clear conclusion on their running.

“We have to look at the whole process today and see what we can draw to attention and make the relevant assessment. It is a calm situation so far, maybe also because of the weather. We are observing the process and many questions need to be answered, we do not have a clear picture. We have to wait for the process to finish. We still have to wait,” she said.

Glover noted that yesterday’s procedures, the distribution of election materials, are part of the OSCE/ODIHR report that will be presented on Monday.

“We cannot compare the elections, it is something unique. All elections are important, they tell us what voters want, all elections are important. We never compare elections because every election is unique, for example the last local elections were one sided,” she said.

Glover pointed out that we are observing the process of running the identification devices and then we will monitor the electronic voting.
