TIRANA, November 14 /ATA/ The natural population increase in the third quarter of 2022 shows that there are 1042 more births than deaths.
INSTAT published today the report on demographic indicators, according to which, the number of births is 6172, marking a decrease of 19.6%, compared to the third quarter of 2021, while the number of deaths is 5130, also marking a decrease of 19.8 %, compared to the same period of 2021.
Referring to the data, six regions of the country have recorded a positive natural increase of the population, while in the other six regions, the natural increase of the population was negative.
The region with the highest natural increase is Tirana, with 928 more births than deaths, while the region with the lowest natural increase is Korça, with 139 more deaths than births./r.e/p.s./
