TIRANA, Sept 16 /ATA/ 25 years later, the second part of Teodor Keko’s satirical poem, “And so on, and so forth” is published.
Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, said on Friday that, “We cannot remember Teodor Keko better than with his work.”
“25 years have passed since the publication of the first part of the satirical poem “And so on, and so forth.” Under the support of the Ministry of Culture, the complete work is published, in tandem with the second part, which was in manuscript, ” she said in a post on social media.
“A work full of humor and irony, written a quarter of a century ago, in a difficult context, but which has remained relevant to this day,” said Margariti.
“Xhuli Shkurti Keko promised me that we will meet again with other projects for the publication of Teodor’s work,” underlined Margariti.
On September 14, an evening was dedicated to the poet, writer and publicist, who passed away 20 years ago.
The memorial evening took place in the concert hall of the Orthodox Cathedral, with the participation of Teodor Keko’s widow, Xhulieta Keko, whom Minister Margariti thanked for confiding her deepest feelings to those present.
During the evening, the actors Luiza Xhuvani, Kastriot Çaushi and Kristian Koroveshi recited Keko’s verses, under the sounds played on the piano by Etrita Ibrahimi and Ardit Gjebrea.
Some time ago the National Library of Albania staged an exhibition to pay tribute to his contribution in the field of Albanian literature and journalism.
This exhibition featured the creativity of Teodor Keko, starting from his first publication in the magazine
“November” (1980) and the first volume of poems “After exams” published in 1983, up to “The notes of a Woman,” published posthumously.
