TIRANA, Sept 11 /ATA/ Tirana International Airport informs all passengers that the TIMS system is up and running again.
The authorities announced yesterday that there was a cyber attack on the TIMS system, by the same aggressors who attacked the digital systems on July 15.
On July 15, our country became the target of a serious cyber attack, which aimed at disabling the Government’s digital infrastructure, disrupting public services, as well as accessing and destroying data and electronic communications from government systems.
The investigation found that the cyber aggression was orchestrated and sponsored by the Islamic Republic of Iran, which engaged four groups for the attack on Albania.
For this reason, the Council of Ministers decided on September 7 to sever diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran with immediate effect.
The attack was condemned by the allied and friendly countries of Albania.
