UEFA moves Egnatia’s Conference League match against Midtjylland to Elbasan Arena due to ongoing protests in Tirana

TIRANA, October 15 /ATSH/ – UEFA has decided that the UEFA Conference League league-phase match between Egnatia and Midtjylland will be played at the “Elbasan Arena” stadium in Elbasan. This decision was made for security reasons, in light of the ongoing protests currently taking place in Tirana.

The match will still kick off at the originally scheduled time of 18:45; only the venue has been changed.

Thus, Albania’s champions are thus set to begin their historic journey in the UEFA Conference League phase, following a successful run through the qualifying rounds.

For Egnatia, this match marks another significant milestone, as the team from Rrogozhina aims to represent Albanian football with distinction on the European stage.

They will face the Danish team Midtjylland, in a fixture that marks Egnatia’s debut at this stage of the competition. /e.i/j.p/p.s./
