TIRANA, January 7/ATA/ Albanian researchers, professors of the South East European University of Tetovo: Hasan Jashari, Xheladin Murati and Zeqir Kadriu met today in Tirana Chairman of the Academy of Sciences, prof. Skënder Gjinushi.
They talked about the problems that the Albanian-language school system in North Macedonia faces and asked for support for initiatives that enable advancement of their recognized rights.
During the meeting, it was highlighted the role of unified textbooks starting from the ABC textbook.
Chairman Gjinushi reaffirmed support of the Academy of Sciences for every initiative that serves to strengthening the Albanian linguistic, national and civic identity, including the impact on state administration institutions and direct cooperation.
Gjinushi spoke further about the important initiatives in albanology, such as work on writing “History of Albanians”, “The Big Dictionary of Albanian” and “Albanian Encyclopedia”, which have a comprehensive and unifying character.
He stressed that the activity in this field abides by the principle “One nation, one language, one history”.
During the meeting, there were made proposals for initiatives and projects that include all institutional factors and other protagonists of scientific research in North Macedonia. /k.s/a.a/r.e/p.s./
