TIRANA, December 15 /ATA/ During the third quarter of 2021, the employment rate in our country marked an increase, while industry and agriculture dominate with the highest number of labour force for this period.
According to the Institute of Statistics INSTAT, in annual terms, employment for the population aged 15-64 increased by 10.1% in the industrial sector, by 0.5% in the services sector and 2.3% in the agricultural sector.
According to INSTAT, compared to the third quarter of 2020, for the 15-64 age group, the labour force participation rate is 0.3 percent, while compared to the previous quarter it has increased by 1.1 points percentage.
During this quarter, the total number of employees increased by 0.2%, compared to the third quarter of 2020, and increased by 2.1%, compared to the second quarter 2021.
“For women, the labour force participation rate is 63.1%, while for men this indicator is 77.3%. During the third quarter of 2021, the labour force participation rate for young people aged 15-29 is 53.5%. This indicator has increased by 0.2 percent compared to the third quarter of 2020, and increased by 1.6 percent compared to the second quarter of 2021.
