Smart cars, transparent crackdown on violations of Road Code

TIRANA, Oct 4 /ATA/ Intelligent devices will be installed in the motorways to monitor 24/7 traffic of vehicles on the road, self-recording the speed, license plates and adherence to other rules such as wearing the seat belt or using a mobile phone at the wheel, etc.

Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Monday that the use of this smart car will have a positive impact on the transparent crackdown on the violations of the Road Code.

“Good morning and with the introduction of the smart car that will positively impact the transparent crackdown on violations of the Road Code, as we are moving ahead with the project of road safety monitoring, I wish you all a good week,” said Rama.

“This state of the art equipment is used in all western countries. It works around the clock and has no human or subjective impact on the judgment of the violations. It self-records the violation and refers it in real time to the processing center at the Traffic Police Directorate. It is a device that can move easily on all road segments.
