TIRANA, Oct 4 /ATA/ – Albanian primary and high school students returned to a full 45-minute and non-shift-based schedule starting Monday, after Education Minister Evis Kushi announced the decision by the Technical Committee of Experts to put an end to the alternating shifts of 30 minutes on the weekend.
Despite the return to non-shift schedule classes, measures adapted in schools to combat COVID-19 should be strictly observed.
According to Education Minister, 88% of Albanian teachers have already been vaccinated and the vaccine roll out continues.
Teachers will still require to be fully vaccinated to attend classes, or if the refuse to get the jab they will need to present a negative COVID-19 test every week.
Around 500,000 primary and high school students are attending schools across the country during the new school year which began last Monday.
