Challenges against Hungary and Poland, Reja: Let’s keep second place in standing

TIRANA, October 4 /ATA/ The coach of the National Team Edoardo Reja appeared today at a press conference where he spoke about the list of players gathered before the two challenges with Hungary and Poland, in context of the World Cup “Qatar 2022” qualifiers.

Reja expressed the conviction that the group of players available offers alternatives to make choices in every sector and added that this time he has almost a week time to see the condition of every player.

Regarding the objectives, the Italian coach stressed that it is important to get a positive result in Hungary and to hope until the end so that to maintain the current position in the ranking, i.e. the second place.

“We will play against Hungary and Poland, two very strong matches, but for me it is important that Albania is growing, match after match. We are a competitive team, we must keep in mind that a loss would take us away from the dream we have to reach the World Cup play-offs. Of course, it is mandatory to get two positive results in the next two matches; a loss would ruin our job. These are the two crucial matches to hope for until the end,” he said.

Regarding the possibility of getting 6 points in both matches, Reja said that, “with Poland we must win, it is our direct rival in the group so we have no other alternative. I do not like to do such calculations, before matches. I want us to take the matches one after the other. Now, we have Hungary, a very crucial challenge and then Poland. In the worst case, we need to get at least three points in the match against Poland to maintain the position hoping until the end. It would be ideal if we could get 4 points in these two matches” ./ p.s./
