TIRANA, October 14 /ATA/ – Speaker of the Assembly Niko Peleshi stated today that while the right to protest is constitutionally protected, it must be exercised peacefully and within the bounds of the law.
According to him, “Any act of violence or vandalism is unacceptable and serves neither dialogue nor the public interest.”
“As we journey toward European Union membership, responsibility, dialogue, and respect for the law must guide our actions at all times, particularly during this crucial moment for our country. Albania is moving swiftly toward its goal of closing the negotiation chapters by the end of next year,” Peleshi said.
He noted that the European Union is the shared destination of all Albanians without exception, urging everyone to fulfill this goal with a deep sense of civic and historical responsibility. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
