TIRANA, Sept 8 /ATA/ US Ambassador in Tirana Yuri Kim stated on Wednesday that “consistent prosecution of corruption will attract more investment and give more Albanians a fair shot at prosperity.”
“There is a direct connection between the rule of law and business,” Kim said.
“Clear rules, including the final resolution of property rights, clean courts and consistent prosecution of corruption will attract more US investment and give more Albanians a fair shot at prosperity,” said.
The statement of Ambassador Kim comes after the publication today of the report of the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania regarding the Business Index, known for the perception of the Business climate (2020-2021).
71% of AmCham members participated in the polling, the highest turnout in the 9 years since the publication of the Index, reflecting the importance that members attach to the business climate and the implementation of reforms in support of its improvement.
The index measures important elements that deliver an impact on business climate, such as government policies, tax rates, corruption, informality, law enforcement and elements related to the performance of Albanian businesses and economy.
