TIRANA, June 30 /ATA/ In the framework of his visit to the USA, Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj held a meeting with the Connecticut Congressman Jim Himes.
Veliaj and Himes discussed the progress that Tirana has made in context of “Tirana, the European Capital of Youth 2022”.
Veliaj said that relations between the USA and the European Union are of special significance for young people.
“I am delighted to have met with Connecticut Congressman Jim Himes to share the development of Tirana on the eve of European Youth Capital 2022. In the past, US-EU transatlantic relations were vital for young people, but today they they are even more important “, said Veliaj./p.s./
