TIRANA, May 15 /ATA/ Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, said on Saturday that the expansion of SP electorate in some constituencies in April 25 elections is a good sign that work is esteemed and people vote for those who work and deliver on their promises.
During a televised interview, Spiropali said that the Socialist Party’s third term in office is a triumph for Albania.
“We have hoisted the flag of Albania and believe that the victory of the Socialist Party can be a great triumph for Albania. For us, this third term is a means to reach other targets. From reconstruction and vaccination to modern road infrastructure all across Albania, 4 airports, ports, Tirana-Rinas-Durrës railway, all of them will be completed. Major projects for Albania that spur the country’s economy. We continue with priorities such as tourism, all these investments will have a major impact on tourism. We recorded 6 million tourists, our goal is to attract 10 million tourists every year and generate 3 billion euros through tourism. Among other things, we aim to free the public administration from political influence,” Spiropali said.
She also dwelt on the process of large-scale vaccination.
Elisa Spiropali underlined that over 1 million Albanians will be vaccinated by June.
Regarding EU accession, Spiropali said that we are closer than ever to the EU and the date of the first intergovernmental meeting will be set in June.
The Minister also spoke about the cooperation with the DP. According to her, “we have asked them to lay down the conditions for cooperation, as political consensus is very important for international partners.”
Spiropali also touched on the request for dismissal of President Ilir Meta.
“Ilir Meta has been expelled. He has excluded himself from being the President of the Republic with his shameful behavior for a democratic country,” said Spiropali.
According to her, the commission of inquiry will come up with a report and we have already declared our vote.
