TIRANA, May 12 /ATA/ – The Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania, Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco, on Wednesday voiced Wednesday his faith and confidence in Albanian judicial authorities.
Answering to reporters regarding the opposition’s claims over the alleged electoral crimes following a meeting with the Mayor of central city of Elbasan Gledian Llatja, the OSCE diplomat Del Monaco said: “I believe we all have read the interim report by OSCE/ODIHR election mission.”
“I am not the person to judge when it comes to the election complaint process and the criminal events that marred the election process. I fully trust Albanian judicial authorities,” he said.
“We are here to support Albania. If you read the mission of the OSCE Presence in Albania, you will see that it includes several priorities, ranging from the rule of law, democratization to the electoral processes, which help a lot in delivering on Albania’s main strategic priorities,” he added.
