TIRANA, April 13 /ATA/ – Flights to and from the United Kingdom are set to resume on Wednesday after a four-month suspension as part of the COVID-19 restrictions in Albania.
Tirana International Airport announced Tuesday that first flight is set to restart tomorrow and reminded passengers of what they need to know and the documents they should show before boarding the flight.
TIA urges passengers to show up at airport three hours ahead of the scheduled flight due to the lond list of documents required by the British state and the air carrier, including PCR test result in last 72 hours, and invoice payment for COVID-19 test on the second and eighth day after arrival in the UK.
“No quarantine rule is applied to travellers flying from the United Kingdom to Albania, as well as to the passengers currently in Albania,” TIA said.
Albania halted all flights to and from the UK in December due to a COVID-19 mutation thought to be more transmissible, which was first detected in Britain.
