TIRANA, April 6 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that, “A few years ago, Korça was a place where everyone wanted to flee, where the demolition continued every day, but today it is a destination that is transformed more and more.”
In his speech at the corner of speech with the citizens of Bilisht, Rama said that, “Now, the spirit of transformation, of investment has included everyone. In every alley of Korça, small fantastic inns are opened, jobs are created for those who have them, jobs for those who go to serve in those inns ”.
“Doors are opened to receive visitors, to receive tourists, of course to earn honest money by putting into use an extraordinary engine that is tourism,” Rama said.
Further on, PM Rama said that, “Korça is one of the only reasons I say with conviction that in this decade we will make Albania champion of the Balkans in tourism, champions of the Balkans in agritourism, in agricultural exports.”
“Today, you cannot go to Korça if you did not book 10 days in advance and therefore the hospitality structures are being extended outside Korça. People have started going to the surrounding villages. Even Pogradec, which is another destination that is greatly empowered with investments, is increasing the number of beds”, – said Rama./k.s/j.p/p.s./
