PRISTINA, July 16 /ATA/ – President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi will be interviewed today for the fourth time by the Specialized Prosecution Office in The Hague.
Thaçi’s interviews have lasted about 6 hours for three days in a row, while on Tuesday and Wednesday he did not speak to the media.
Thaçi appeared in The Hague at the invitation of the Specialized Prosecutor.
The Specialized Prosecutor’s Office announced last month that on April 24 it had proposed an indictment for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity against President Thaçi, Democratic Party of Kosovo leader Kadri Veseli, and several others whose names were not released.
After the interview on Monday, on the first day, Thaçi said that the interview consisted of “explanatory, technical issues” and the interest of the prosecutors for the Kosovo Liberation Army.
The indictment has now passed into the hands of the pre-trial judge, who has a maximum of six months, from April, to confirm or dismiss it.
Thaçi has previously said that he will resign from the post of president, if the indictment against him is confirmed./KosovaPress/p.s./
