TIRANA, July 10 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – The Head of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group Taulant Balla hailed Friday the latest European Council’s report as another positive assessment for Albania.
The senior Socialist official said that the EC third report assessment on fulfilment of visa liberalisation requirements clearly confirms the country’s progress in delivering on the conditions set forth on the previous second report.
“Another positive evaluation from the European Commission today. On its third assessment report on fulfilment of the visa-free regime requirements with the Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia), as well as the Eastern Partnership countries, the Commission clearly presents the progress our country has made in meeting the requirements stipulated under the second report,” Balla said.
The European Commission presented earlier today its assessment of the fulfilment of visa liberalisation requirements by these countries.
The report confirms that Albania continues to meet visa liberalization requirements, emphasizing that “implementation of actions to address irregular migration, including strengthening border controls, has seen progress.”
