TIRANA, July 10 /ATA/- The Bank of Albania announces that 14 financial savings and credit institutions increased their equity to ALL 10.9 billion during 2019, or 17% more than a year ago.
At the end of last year, the portfolio of gross credit provided by 14 non-bank institutions reached approximately ALL 8 billion, increasing by 12% compared to the previous year.
The indicator of non-performing credits for these institutions improved last year and fell to 4.7%, 0.3% less compared to 2018. The reduction of the ratio of non-performing credits is attributed to the quantitative increase of the loan portfolio.
According to the BoA, the profit of the sector increased 3% compared to 2018.
