Businesses reopening /Zero tolerance policy towards safety protocol violators

TIRANA, April 22 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said Wednesday that rigorous implementation of the safety protocols amid the reopening of a large number of businesses in the coming days was on focus of the today’s cabinet meeting.

“We are gradually reopening the economic activity in the country. However, we cannot and we will not tolerate any deficiency or negligence in strictly adhering to the safety protocol after the entry into force of the new changes to the Criminal Code, on which both the government and the President agreed,” he said.

The Premier put emphasis on the importance of respecting the new measures, on which full consensus was reached as part of the joint efforts to protect the population’s health and warned that any failure to abide by the safety protocols will be intolerable and unjustifiable.

PM Rama also called on business owners to obtain the due certificate and the respective safety protocol via the e-albania platform before they decide to reopen the shutters of their shops.

“Do not open the shutters of your shops without obtaining first the certificate showing that your business is allowed to reopen and the relevant safety protocol for your business category,” he said.

“The inter-institutional task force that is being established will carry out constant inspections starting next week and will tolerate nobody if no certificate and safety protocol is provided,” he added.
