TIRANA, Feb 22/ATA/- In his address to the conference entitled “One continent, one future” organized by “Qemal Stafa” foundation, Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla said that “at the heart of discussions about the European future of the Western Balkans, involving the EU colleagues, including Isabel Santos, and representatives of many member states, as well as the Western Balkans have come to a conclusion, that the place of the Western Balkans is in the EU.
In his remarks, Balla praised the revised enlargement methodology of the EU, saying that, it represents a major step forward to a new beginning.
“The process of joining EU requires hard work, as part of a merit-based process. Albania has made a successful performance in fulfilling its obligations on the path towards EU integration,” Balla said.
Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group Balla stressed that, Albania has made significant progress in meeting the requirements and implementing reforms, mainly justice reform.//a.i/
