TIRANA, December 5/ATA/-Prime Minister Edi Rama stated during the government meeting today that the short-term reconstruction plan envisages building of 5 thousand dwellings in 12-18 months while the long-term plan 10 thousand dwellings.
During the government meeting, PM Rama said that, “In Durrës, we shall have to build a new quarter”.
The prime minister highlighted the need of plans carrying not just construction of new apartment blocks, but other elements like memory parks, social and educational infrastructure.
Speaking about Tirana, the prime minister emphasized the need of a serious intervention in “Kombinat” quarter.
“All problematic and old buildings need to be demolished paving the way to construction of a new dwellings to accommodate all the people who will lose their houses in that area”, said PM Rama.
The prime minister also mentioned “5Maji” quarter and the quarter of the former auto-tractor combine as areas that need intervention./p.s./
