TIRANA, Oct 19 /ATA/ State Police Director General Skënder Hita has issued an open letter to police officers, expressing his appreciation for their service and reaffirming his support.
He noted that officers have faced challenging conditions and acts of violence throughout seven days of protests, commending their commitment to duty and extending his solidarity to those injured and their families.
“I want to personally express my gratitude, respect and full support for you today,” Hita wrote.
“No attack against you is acceptable. No act of violence can be justified,” he stressed.
The State Police Director General urged officers to continue carrying out their duties with professionalism, composure and determination, while upholding the law and respecting the dignity of every citizen.
He wished his injured colleagues a speedy recovery and assured officers that they would not be left alone to face the challenges confronting them.
“I am proud of every police officer who serves the country with honesty and dedication,” Hita concluded.
