TIRANA, August 27/ATA/- Revitalization of Maliq-Drithas boulevard is an important investment in view of urbanization and ease of vehicles and pedestrians’ circulation.
“The next stage entails asphalt casting, road signage, lighting system and greenery works.The works on asphalt paving on “Maliq-Drithas” boulevard as well as the street lighting pillars rehabilitation are well underway,” the Mayor of Maliq, Gëzim Topçiu said.
“ Maliq-Libonik road will be blocked until August 30, due to the intense work carried out on this road axis,”Topçiu added.
The segment, 2,5 km long, connects Maliq to Drithas, Libonik as well as to Korçë-Pogradec.
The investment of Albanian government is implemented by Albanian Development Fund in the light of the programme “Priority investments with high impact on development and promotion of tourism, 2018 – 2019”.
After expansion of the track and systematization of waste water canals and underground lighting system, the work is focused on shoulders, decorative sustaining walls, reconstruction of building facades and connection of lights.
Revitalization of the boulevard is expected to propel urban activity into development, improve traffic at local level as well as boost social activities to the benefit of community.//a.i/
