TIRANA, Oct 25 /ATA/ Further incidents were reported during today’s protest, as demonstrators clashed with police and continued to pelt officers with stones.
Several masked and hooded youths also targeted private businesses and a branch of a commercial bank along Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard.
Police repeatedly called on protesters to refrain from violence, but the young d
emonstrators continued throwing stones.
Officers subsequently deployed water cannon and tear gas and detained several protesters.
