TIRANA, August 27/ATA/-Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that, “The work is underway for the radical transformation of Belsh municipality into a new tourist destination. The municipality is located amid a forgotten natural wonder, where the community used to live in complete isolation”.
PM Rama wrote in the social media that, “There is a growing number of people going on a visit in Belsh every weekend from Tirana and elsewhere, but there has also begun an influx of foreign tourists while the local people have adjusted their houses in small, tasteful guesthouses”.
With its distinctive landscape, diverse flora and fauna, Belsh Lake is one of the largest of Dumrea area with 26.8 hectares.
Belshi Lake is being transformed into a tourist destination not only for locals, but for citizens from all over the country.
The works are part of a modern project being implemented by the Albanian Development Fund, with the financing of the Albanian government aiming to transform it into a community service area.
The works anticipate: reconstruction of the entry road into the city; including the construction of sidewalks, installation of lighting systems, green areas and road signals, the construction of bicycle lane, the construction of parking spaces, recreational spaces.
The town on the edge of the lake welcomes visitors by combining the rare nature, with the characteristic culinary and bio products of the area, as well as pedestrian walks by the promenade./m.m/j.p/p.s./
