TIRANA, May 17 /ATA/ – President of the Republic Ilir Meta has declared on Friday that it is high time to step up efforts for cooperation and do our best to push ahead with European integration of the country.
President Meta went to Cërrik on Friday in the light of commemoration of the 76th anniversary of Dumrea battalion.
After placing a flower wreath at the monument to the fallen during the heroic war for liberation of the country from Fascist and Nazi occupiers, President of the Republic addressed the participants, saying:
The meetings with veterans and family members of the Martyrs of the Nation are always full of emotions.
We commemorate on Friday in Cërrik the 76th anniversary of Dumrea battalion and paid tribute to the contribution of partisans for liberation of the country, the brightest period after the era of Scanderbeg and National Renaissance.
