TIRANA, May 16/ATA/-Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj is running for a second mandate in the upcoming local elections of June 30.
Speaking in an interview for “A2 CNN” television, Veliaj said that elections will be held on June 30 and that the citizens cannot be denied of the right to receive services from the municipality.
Further on, he added that whether the opposition takes part in elections or not, he has a competition with himself, a referendum where Tirana citizens will have their say on the work done during the last 4 years.
Veliaj’s challenger in the elections will be Arben Skënderi from the “Democratic Conviction” party of the opposition.
Veliaj said that he is ready for public debate. /j.p/p.s./
